Judges pooh-poohed the increase in the maximum age of jurors recently, arguing that allowing people over 70 to sit on juries would cause ‘substantial disruption’ to proceedings.
The Council of Circuit Judges issued the statement in response to a proposal form the Ministry of Justice.
