Due to the amount of interest our website methodology is now generating, we are looking for a Junior Developer to join our Web Development Team as soon as possible.
Job Title
Junior Website Developer (ASP.NET/C#)
Position
You will part of a small but growing team responsible for developing and maintaining client websites and our in-house content management systems. This includes working with clients' back-office systems and developing e-commerce applications.
Specification
The toolsets we use here at Jellyfish are:
- Visual Studio 2005/2008
- C#
- ASP.NET
- Classic ASP
- SQL Server (2000/2005/2008)
- HTML/XHTML
- CSS
- IIS
- Javascript
- AJAX
- JQuery
- Photoshop (you won't be designing, but you will be working with PSDs)
As a junior developer we don't expect you to be an expert in all of the above, but you must have:
- At least 6 months' commercial experience in an ASP.NET/C# development role with some example sites to show us
- A solid understanding of ASP.NET, C#, HTML, CSS, Javascript and the .NET Framework
- Experience of database design and SQL scripts and query design (ideally with SQL Server and Transact-SQL)
- The ability to learn quickly and become proficient in the Jellyfish development architecture
- Experience of talking to clients in a way they'll understand and appreciate
- The ability to follow a specification, unit test your own work and take responsibility for the quality of your work
- Ideas and passion for the web to help move both you and the team forward - no headphone wearers or plodders need apply!
